Served with the 2nd Bn and the 110th Brigade (6th, 7th, 8th, 9th Battalions) during World War One. Died 18th July 1919. He is buried in Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta.

Further Info: Researching as part of members of church who died in WW1. Signed up 5/9/14, saying he was born in 1895, but he was probably really only 16 as born 1898. France from July 1915, promoted to Lance Corporal shortly before becoming for a year a prisoner of War in Germany Dec 1917-Dec 1818. Some time at a military hospital in Leicestershire for something "Classified" Feb-Jun 1919 (not sure
I understand this bit of the records) before being declared fit for service. When on his way to a new posting in India died 18th July 1919 of suspected bubonic plague along with another member of regiment.

Regimental Medal Entitlement Sheet: 14371 L/Cpl Reader Harry - 8/ Leic R. - Pte - Victory medal and British War medal. Military records show disembarked France to the British Expeditionary Force 29.7.1915 so entitled to the 1915 Star.
